If you think you’re “not flexible enough” or “not the yoga type”, this is exactly where to start. You don’t need experience, special clothing, or a bendy body — you just need to turn up as you are.
You’re more ready than you think
Flexibility is something yoga builds, not something you need beforehand. Every pose can be adapted, and in a small class your teacher can actually see you and offer the right option for your body on the day.
Which class should I start with?
- Hatha yoga — a steady, all-levels practice with clear instruction. A great first class.
- Yin yoga — slow and floor-based, ideal if you mainly want to unwind and release tension.
What to expect on your first visit
Wear comfortable clothes you can move in, arrive 5–10 minutes early, and eat lightly beforehand. Mats and props are provided. Every class ends with a few minutes of stillness, singing-bowl sound healing, and a warm cup of herbal tea — a gentle way to land before you head back into your day. Have a question first? Our FAQ covers the basics.
We’re a small, welcoming studio in Golders Green, NW11 — beginners are genuinely our favourite people to teach. If you’d like extra support, private one-to-one sessions are a gentle on-ramp too.
